This book is a wonderful book to read when you've laid your stitching down and want some inspiration. Filled with color photographs of 19th century pieces and techniques, Gail Marsh does a stunning job showing you canvas work, surface embroidery, whitework, fancy work and how stitching was used to teach. She also shows you some of the tools used in the 19th century. There are stitches shown, however no full projects are given. The advanced stitcher will be able to apply many of these techniques to their own work but beware! The rest of us will be craving more and purchasing more books to learn! :-) Hardcover, 191 pages |
