This chart is actually stitched on linen which I do not carry. 32 ct. linen is suggested. Two skeins each of Wildflowers 5011 and 5013 and 3 yards of Waterlilies 066 are suggested. Done in cross stitch and half cross stitche, this piece is on a 14 x 24" piece of linen and would look fantastic on Congress cloth also, although you would need a larger piece.

This piece is wonderful because not only can you use any threads you want, you can put the stitches in any order you want! You can also put this on 18 ct or 24 count Congress cloth or 25 count linen. Suggested threads are 2 colors of Watercolors and 4 colors of Waterlilies. Let us know if we can help you choose the threads! You'll learn several types of bargello with this chart.

One of Laura's earlier designs, this quilt-like chart is beautiful in its simplicity. The chart shows the typical flower basket quilt design but one you receive the chart, you'll see the "quilting shadow" of heart medallions in the corners and centers in the pink areas. The swag on the border is so well done it looks like it's actually pieced too. Chart calls for one Watercolors, 3 colors of DMC perle 5 and 14 x 14" 18 ct. canvas. This is a great project for the beginner as it concentrates on stitches and is done with non-strandable threads. Those threads include 4 colors of perle cotton #5, Rhapsody, 2 sizes of Goldrush, 3 colors of Kreinik and one ribbon floss. The cut canvas size is 12 x 14". This is subtitled "A Tutorial for Working with Variegated Threads" and is noted that the 2 smaller designs were originally published by Stitcher's World in September and October 1996 issues. All of the designs in this leaflet are variations on one master pattern.

The florals and fretwork and backgrounds are charted out in color charts for you. Suggested colors for Watercolors, Waterlilies, and Impressions are made along with amount needed. The projects explained include the bolster pillow, large pillow with all the flowers on it, and both small 5" designs. 18 pages.
